These are some of my favorite projects that I have worked on. Additional project examples are available upon request.

YoudRather Preview

YoudRather - Answering the hard questions.

YoudRather is a fun idea that I came up with a few of my friends. I can't say that I'm too proud of the site's content, but I am really happy with how well it turned out. This is another Ruby on Rails Application that uses an MySQL db. I see this as one of those applications that could turn into something like hotornot.com, something fun that sucks away your free time. It is similar to dealarray in that I haven't gone public with this site yet, so I guess it's still in beta. So go take a quick peak and let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.

DealArray Preview

DealArray - If you build it, deals will come.

DealArray is another of my pet projects. DealArray is in essence a deal aggregator. It collects deals from some of the most popular deal sites. DealArray allows its users to comment on, categorize, and rate all the deals. I like to think of it as the Digg of deals. I haven't gone public with this site, so consider it this a sneak preview.

Billshare Preview

Billshare - A simple app for people who share bills.

Billshare is a project that I've been planning and developing for a long time. It's targeted towards roommates who need to share bills such as power, internet, etc. It allows users to easily keep track of who owes who how much and for what. It has tons of features such as groups, receipt tracking, payment tracking, private messaging, group walls, rss feeds, detailed statistics, and more. This app was the first that I wrote in Ruby on Rails, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

ZERT - Main Page.

MSU - Zero Emissions Research Technology

This was one of those sites where the deadline was now, so I really didn’t have any time for design. Montana State University contacted us looking for someone to build a scientific reporting and coordination tool for their Zero Emissions Research Technology lab. The lab already had a website but needed a restricted access website to coordinate their efforts. I was given an existing layout and was asked to build a calendar, announcements page, javascript interactive activity map, file exchange, as well as a an administration page for managing all of this. I finished the project on time and the client was very happy with the result.

EarthTalk Studios - Client Post

EarthTalk Studios Client Post

This was the first project I worked on after I joined EarthTalk Studios. We needed a client review system that allowed clients to preview mockups of various designs and documents we were working on. The system allowed clients to approve and give comments on the project as it was being designed. This was an interesting project as it was my first experience with ASP.NET VB. What I finished with was a system that greatly helped our designers and clients interact.

Web Sites

Spark Creative

Spark Creative

Spark Creative was a simple site that I created to represent the design studio that I have recently founded. The site basically just tells about our team, some of the projects we've worked on, and how to contact us. I'm really happy with the minimalist design, and it was a fun project to work on.

Spanish Peaks - Main Page.

Spanish Peaks

Spanish Peaks was a challenging project for our development team at EarthTalk Studios. Spanish Peaks is a private community just outside of Bozeman, Montana. The purpose of the site was to advertise their available properties and inform potential buyers about the community. One of the more challenging features that the client wanted was an interactive flash property map which would allow potential buyers to view different neighborhood layouts, as well the pertinent information about each property. This was a very interesting project for me as it allowed me to learn a lot about flash and actionscript. We completed this project in Fall of 2006.

El Western - Main Page.

El Western

On El Western I mainly played the role of web programmer but I also collaborated with Drew Schug in creating the design. El Western is a relatively small vacation resort located in Ennis, Montana. The client came to EarthTalk Studios and asked us to create a site for them that helped advertise their resort. So we came together and created a site that did exactly that. The website shows off the beauty of the location as well as informs any potential buyers of some of the many activities in the area. Although this was a relatively simple site, I really had a good time working on this site mostly because El Western were such great clients.
